Little Dreamers of NYC is a preschool that presents a whole new approach to education; one that combines the advantages of an excellent academic experience with the knowledge of self in all its facets.

We feel that the development of a child's character is just as important as academics. We teach them that they have choices in the way they want to live their lives and that even the smallest thought or action has a significant impact on their future and on the world around them. Our vision is to give children the mental, emotional and physical tools they need to achieve their greatest potential in life.

We believe that children are strong, competent individuals with abundant resources of curiosity and potential. They are eager to make sense of their world, understand it and express their understandings in numerous ways.

Little Dreamers of NYC is about empowering children to take responsibility for themselves, their community and their world.

We support children in developing as thoughtful, caring and reflective human beings as we focus on the process of learning, not the making of products.

Program and Curriculum

The Core Curriculum, which uses the New York State Curriculum as its foundation, is presented in an interactive, innovative way. Your child will see how theory manifests into action. As an integral part of our curriculum children are offered many opportunities to “live” the subjects we teach.

Each child participates in the core subject area related to weekly themes. Creativity is the focus as the children are guided through an appropriate, emergent curriculum in tune with their interests and development. Here, children are encouraged to make choices, and to become problem solvers. As they venture through their learning activities they are encouraged to collaborate, cooperate and develop responsibility.

Classes are intimate and small. Special care is taken to get to know the needs of each child personally.
