Little Dreamers of NYC is a pre-school that presents a whole new approach to education; one that combines the advantages of an excellent academic experience with the knowledge of self in all its facets.

We feel that the development of a child's character is just as important as academics.  We teach them that they have choices in the way they want to live their lives and that even the smallest thought or action has a significant impact on their future and on the world around them.  Our vision is to give children the mental, emotional and physical tools they need to achieve their greatest potential in life.

We believe that children are strong, competent individuals with abundant resources of curiosity and potential.  They are eager to make sense of their world, understand it and express their understandings in numerous ways.

Little Dreamers of NYC is about empowering children to take responsibility for themselves, their community and their world.

We support children in developing as thoughtful, caring and reflective human beings as we focus on the process of learning, not the making of products.

Who we are

Carolyn Faith

Carolyn Faith received her B.A. in French and Spanish from the University of Idaho in 1983, and a B.S. in Education from the same university in 1986. She taught at private schools in the US and then followed her interest in languages to Italy where she learned Italian and taught English to students of all ages. She returned to NYC in 1995 where she worked in international and private banking. Upon the birth of her daughter Lily she became involved in preschool marketing and management. While living in Italy she was introduced to the study of Reggio Emilia which is a unique teaching method for the education of young children. “At Little Dreamers of NYC we strive to incorporate many of its' ideals into our curriculum.  We have a fresh approach to working with children; creativity and the process of learning for the love of learning itself is our main focus.”
